Why I'm building this

I've spent over 20 years in the fire service, and I'm an active captain today.

I've watched capable candidates walk into an oral board underprepared — and sharp firefighters and engineers walk out of a promotional exam beaten not by the job, but by how they studied for it.

BadgeDay is the tool I wish existed at both moments. One door for people trying to get hired. One door for people testing up. Nights and off-days. Independent. Not a test-prep company guessing at the fire service.

Is BadgeDay live?

Yes. It works in a browser at app.badgeday.com, and it's on Google Play. It is not on the App Store yet.

Is this affiliated with any department or testing agency?

No. BadgeDay is an independent product of Sirens to Syntax. It is not affiliated with any fire department, union local, or testing vendor. On the promotion side, you upload your own authorized study materials.

What does it cost?

Recruit: the first complete five-question board is free, no card. After that — $24.99/month, $59 for 90 days, $119 for 6 months, or $179 for a year. Promote: $29/month or $129 for 90 days.

Will this get me hired or promoted?

No. It helps you prepare. You still have to do the work on the day.

Who is Recruit for vs Promote?

Recruit is for candidates trying to get hired. Promote is for firefighters and engineers already on the job who are testing up.

I'm a training officer — can my department use this?

Department use is on the roadmap. Right now BadgeDay is built for one person practicing on their own time.
